This episode actually did justice to the novel . I have made some complaints about how far off they have been from the novel in the past especially with his pet but they held true to this part of the story very accurately . From here on out it will only get better if they follow the novel correctly. There will be some lulls but not many. This was the major turning point of our MC in terms of his cultivation and his life.

Well there is a reason for that and it is not much explained in this show but in the novel it is. See where they live before they decided to move was the weakest area for energy therefore when they cultivate they will never reach the attainment of the people they are fighting. The reason they are attacking these guys is to steal their spot and obtain a better cultivating area and more resources from the clan that they are subservient too. Think of a pyramid and one sect is at the top controlling all the other tiers and these guys were on the bottom wrung and now are trying to move up a tier.

i was wondering what was the reason for all these wars.. now it make a bit more sense.. not sure if its the subs or its not exactly explained in the show. speaking of subs.. such an insult to an otherwise masterpiece or close to one at least

yeah its the subz... i usually watch this show on elements anime channel on YT... not the fastest to upload but usually has the best subs for this show.... think they sub it themselves without google translate.... also the war isnt as simple as them just trying to win their way to better cultivation areas.... it was first a plot to make the two sects fight and wipe each other out.... after finding out it was a plot they unified the two sects and 2 others and i believe they're chasing down the people responsible for the discord and that has lead them here

well yeah i got that but in the end the main reason is still better resources and control .. basically the reason the ones behind the first war were planing to wipe the remaining ones to advance. and this whole system i assume its implemented just to keep the sects under control and never let anyone accumulate enough power to threaten the ones on top.. it is a better written cultivation story but in the end its just a cultivation story not much different than the rest
